Destroying Hosted Instances

Before deleting a CTFd instance we recommend making a backup. You can backup your data by exporting it.

Please note that exports do not currently backup any uploaded challenge service images. These should be backed up seperately.

caution

Each Hosted CTFd instance is billed seperately. If you have multiple Hosted CTFd instances, each will need to be destroyed to completely cancel billing.

To destroy a Hosted CTFd instance you should use the following instructions:

1. Go to https://cloud.ctfd.io/admin to see all Hosted CTFd instances you have deployed

2. Select your chosen instance and click the red cross icon on the right.

3. Check the "I'm sure" checkbox to enable the Destroy button

   

4. Click the red "Destroy" button to completely destroy your CTFd instance. This will remove all associated data and stop any future charges related to that CTFd instance.
